IN RING: Maximum Max comes to the ring in his king gear and demands he is called King Maximus while using ye olde English words. He proclaims today a great day in the life of King Maximus and brings out the reason why, Mindfreak. He announces that this night, Mindfreak has declared allegiance to the true king, Maximum Max. Now with Mindfreak, Maximum Max knows without a shadow of a doubt, he will beat Brent Thompson at Ultimate Rumble and will headline Bound to Victory as the defending GCW World Heavyweight Champion. Brent Thompson, however, makes his way to the ring and asks Max why he thinks he has 100% confidence about the match at Ultimate Rumble. Last time they met in a ring, Thompson remembers, he beat Maximum Max. Max says that on the contrary, Mindfreak is the problem, not him. Brent might have beaten Mindfreak in the chamber, but Mindfreak has destroyed Thompson again…and again…and again. Now with Mindfreak as muscle, Max says there’s nothing Thompson can do to stop Max from achieving his destiny.
BACKSTAGE: TJAYankees1 talks with Brent Thompson and tells Brent that if he can find a partner for tonight, then Brent & his partner will get to face Max & Mindfreak in the main event.
MATCH: Shaggy Kane def. Shamus McCoy via DQ after Shamus takes a chair and beats down Shaggy Kane with it. Shamus then puts the chair around Shaggy Kane’s neck. The Rockin’ Freebird suddenly comes to the aid of Shaggy Kane and attempts to give Shamus McCoy a brainbuster, but Shamus gets out of the hold and runs away to the back.
